Pretty market town Builth Wells is 0.5 miles walk away, and visitors will have no trouble finding something to do there. Try the Wyeside Arts Centre or Groe Park, which has great views of Wye Bridge. Further afield but still within easy reach is the Brecon Beacons (23 miles), perfect for both two and four legged walkers, while Cwm Rhaeadr Forest (26 miles) has some fantastic mountain biking trails. Hay on Wye (19.5 miles), on the cusp of the Welsh border, boasts independent bookshops, Hay Castle and the Globe at Hay, which hosts an array of performances.
