Just beyond the property, there s some open common land with wild grazing ponies and the beautiful Brechfa Pool a nature reserve with an abundance of waterfowl and rare wetland plants (1 mile). Set on the outskirts of the Brecon Beacons National Park, this is a great base for a range of activities including climbing, hiking, horse riding, cycling and canoeing, with local attractions including Talgarth Mill (4.5 miles), Pwll y Wrach Woods (5.5 miles) and Llangorse Lake (7.5 miles). The popular and historic market town of Brecon (8 miles) lies on the banks of the Rivers Usk and Honddu and has a variety of great shops, pubs and restaurants as well as a cathedral, theatre and a 1930s style cinema. Entering this bright, colourful and airy property up a step you will find the attractive open plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The charming lounge is a delightful space to unwind in at the end of the day, with comfortable sofas so you can curl up with a good book or watch a movie on the TV/DVD. The pleasant dining area is perfect for sharing all your favourite family meals. An additional second lounge has further seating and a picture window offering another glorious view over the countryside. The stylishly designed kitchen is a pleasure to cook in and is equipped with everything you may need including a dishwasher, microwave and washing machine. Exploring the ground floor further, there s the first of the property s three restful bedrooms a spacious and relaxing double room. There s also a large shower room complete with WC. Going upstairs, there are two further twin bedrooms with sloping ceilings, each with a pair of 2 6 beds, a dressing table and a built in wardrobe. Each of the rooms also has an en suite shower room complete with a WC. Heading outside, the cottage has an enclosed private garden with a lawn which is perfect for children kicking a ball around. There s also a wide terrace with garden furniture and a BBQ so you can sit back with an al fresco meal and enjoy the magnificent country views which surround the cottage, and which are perfect for a night s stargazing. Ample parking is available as well as excellent professional lock up storage for mountain bikes.
