This impressive original stone barn nestles at the foothills of the spectacular Brecon Beacons National Park, which you and your family can explore right from the front door. Home to Pen y Fan, the highest peak in South Wales, you can discover this magnificent wilderness by land or by water. Try your hand at one of the many outdoor pursuits available, from horse riding, mountain biking and rock climbing to white water rafting, kayaking and abseiling. There really is an adventure to be had here for all the family. The picturesque little market town of Brecon (5 miles) is steeped in history with a skyline dominated by its castle and cathedral. Quaint little shops and tearooms line narrow streets where you can sit and watch life on the canal pass you by. Situated over two floors, the property retains original charm and character. Exposed wooden beams throughout provide a rustic and homely feel. Put your feet up after a day exploring the mountains and relax in the cosy lounge in front of the TV, warmed by the wood burner effect electric fire. The kitchen comprises an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer and dishwasher with a breakfast bar to enjoy your morning coffee. The spacious conservatory provides the perfect social hub to enjoy a hearty homecooked meal with all the family. Also on this floor is a convenient shower room with WC. Heading up the staircase to the first floor you will find one super king size bedroom, one twin bedroom and the family bathroom with bath and WC, all with sloping ceilings. Arranged around a pretty courtyard, the property has a large established rear garden, perfect for those summer evening family BBQs. Patio doors open from the conservatory inviting you to enjoy the beautiful surrounding views with a glass of wine over dinner. Children can play in the shared games room with TV/DVD, PlayStation3, table tennis, snooker, pool, and various board games. The shared on site communal areas are fitted with a washing machine and a tumble dryer.
