With idyllic views from every window, Lower Ivy cottage is the place to stay. Located in one of the biggest villages throughout the whole of the Peak District, this 18th-century delight has been beautifully renovated with a mixture of modern facilities and original features. After preparing your masterpiece in the fully equipped kitchen, settle in front of the glowing log burning fire with a hot chocolate or take your favourite beverage out to the garden and simply take in the amazing views. Take a 5-minute stroll into Youlgreave, a lively, bustling village with a range of shops, cafés and three pubs or take a picnic down to the trout pools and watch out for kingfishers and herons trying to catch their dinner. If you have time to venture further afield, there are many other attractions close by. Take a ride on a steam train or cable car in Matlock Bath, have a famous pudding in Bakewell or soak up history at the famous Chatsworth House. For the more adventurous, why not give water-rafting, cavern exploring or castle storming a try!
