From the moment you open the front gate, it is hard not to fall in love with the charm of this place. A luscious garden wraps around the property, with creepers growing up the beautiful brickwork and sash windows hinting to the character that waits inside.

The ground floor of the cottage has been carefully taken care of, with an attention to detail that makes every room feel welcoming. The living room is bright and airy, with tasteful furnishings arranged around the comfort of the open-hearth fireplace. A second lounge makes room for all occasions, with armchairs and sofas once again arranged around the characterful fire, as well as a charming writing desk should anyone need to do some work. With patio doors out to the garden, you can come and go as you please, enjoying both indoor and outdoor living in unison. The kitchen has a quaint charm to it, with terracotta tiles on the floor and windows that overlook the English garden, making cooking a real treat. Next to the warmth of the Aga, a large dining table has been positioned so you can all dine together, sharing laughter and conversation long into each evening.

Upstairs, the romance of this historic house continues, with three bedrooms on the first floor and a fourth bedroom at the top of the house under the eaves. There is a bathroom on each floor for ease. Each of the bedrooms makes the most of the character features, with antique style furniture that matches the historic feel of the house, exposed beams and of course no straight lines!

It is the garden that is our favourite part of this enchanting cottage. High brick walls and matured trees offer complete privacy to the garden yet stand far enough apart to leave room for a sun trap on the lawn. Colour radiates from each flowerbed and the house itself looks like something out of a storybook.
