Entry is gained by the rear door leading you directly into the well-equipped kitchen where you will find all the appliances needed throughout your stay including a microwave, coffee machine, and a gas hob and oven, certain to entice any budding chefs in the group. Moving through the property, the snug welcomes you, with an open fire and study desk available, this home away from home will make a fantastic base to meet deadlines or for creativeness to flow. Through the hall and up the magnificent Georgian staircase to the first floor is the main sitting room, which also offers an open fire, where you can cosy up and discuss the day’s events with your loved ones, or relax in front of the TV on the plush sofas. As the evening draws to a close, back on the ground floor you will find two bedrooms, a family room comprising of a double and a single, and a double bedroom, ideal for those with limited mobility. The rest of the group can retire to one of the first floor bedrooms, where you have the option of one double room, a double with a cot, perfect for young families, and a family room with a charming London bus bunkbed and a single, where the children can let their imagination run wild after a long day of exploring the local area. Back on the ground floor, step into the shower room, which also has a basin and WC to prepare for the day ahead. For those on the first floor, a convenient family bathroom boasts a beautiful roll-top, claw-foot bath to soak in with a good book, as well as another basin and WC. In the evening soak up the last rays of sun and enjoy a spot of al fresco dining and a glass of wine on the decked area with dining furniture while the children and your four-legged friends enjoy the lawn. Steeped in thousands of years of history, Auchtermuchty is rich with heritage coming from the Romans who first established camp in the village, followed with strong links to the monarchy, and nowadays recognised for the compelling cyling routes ranging from beginner to advanced, reaching ascents of over 600 feet. Venture out to the surrounding areas where you will find a plethora of both historic sites and landmarks just a short drive away such as Lynedoch Obelisk and Corstan Tower, ruins set amongst the breath-taking Scottish countryside. Stratheden Whisky Distillery was present from 1829 to1926 where Alexander Bonthrone, the owner worked for six decades, making him one of the world's oldest distillers.
