The village of Nantyglo stands at the head of the Ebbw Fach valley, amid a rugged landscape of typically, Welsh countryside. The village is well served with a range of shops, traditional pubs and a nearby old fashioned cinema. The farm includes the Roundhouse Towers, which are within the walled grounds and steeped in history, relating to Joseph and Crawshay Bailey s ironworks and industrial unrest. There are many walks from the farm that will guide you across the countryside along with the Brecon Beacons and the Black Mountains a short distance away. For enthusiastic golfers, you can tee off at the highest tee in Great Britain at the West Monmouthshire Golf Club. Visit the many vibrant market towns including Abergavenny, Crickhowell and Brecon where you can sample locally sourced products from the farmers markets. Other attractions include the Blaenavon Heritage Railway and the Blaenavon Ironworks. The end cottage within the restored terrace, step in and back in time.
