The peaceful village of Coalway is a perfect base for exploring the Forest of Dean and Wye Valley. You are well served by foot with a village store and local pub within walking distance. For walkers and cyclists, you can access a network of Forest tracks for walking, mountain biking and cycling from the village, along with a flat walk into the pretty market town of Coleford where you will find a selection of independent shops, cafes and restaurants. For a little more adventure, you can enjoy rock climbing, caving and canoeing at Symonds Yat, Go Ape at Mallards Pike, and the downhill mountain biking tracks at Sallow Vallet. Other attractions include Clearwell Caves, Hopewell Colliery, Puzzlewood, and Perrygrove Railway. The annexe, formally a village shop, is set to the side of a traditional cottage.
