This characterful, colourful and contemporary styled townhouse, set right in the centre of Little Walsingham, makes a great base to explore the best of North Norfolk, be it the beaches, walking trails or stately homes.
Located just a few miles drive from the beautiful coast and Wells-next-the-Sea quay and beach, Knight’s Cottage is a historic cottage brimming with character. The owner has certainly brought out the best in this early 19th century three-storey building which is built of traditional red brick and flint with pantile roof and sash windows. Knight’s Cottage is almost next door to the popular village bistro, the renowned Walsingham Farm shop where you can always buy good local produce and homemade pasties, pies and sausages, and within an easy walk to the high street with all its amenities and gastro pub, and of course the shrine, which makes Little Walsingham so special. Step inside Knight's Cottage and you enter a lovely vestibule with a flint and part-panelled wall with the cloakroom off, before you are greeted with a lovely large and inviting kitchen/dining room which leads you into the cosy sitting room with large sofa and chaise and feature fireplace. Head up the first flight of stairs and you have two stylish bedrooms which are painted in bright, contrasting colours. Both come with gorgeous en-suite shower rooms and feature fireplaces. Climb the second, more steep and winding staircase to the top floor and you’ll discover two more bedrooms with lower ceilings which are serviced by a stunning family bathroom with egg bath. Undoubtedly this property offers character in abundance which more than makes up for the very small outside space, although there is garden furniture for eight when required to sit and have a coffee, read the paper or have a light snack or meal. There is parking for one car on the gravel area to the side of the cottage outside the side main entrance door and further cars can easily park outside the cottage on the road if required.
