The cosy sitting room has a warming wood burning stove and is the perfect space in which to relax after a day exploring the area. The combined kitchen and dining room has a full wall of sliding glass doors which can be opened completely to allow the pretty garden to be fully connected to the dining area. There is a generous double bedroom on the first floor with a king-size bed, and a separate single bedroom also, plus a well-appointed family bathroom with bath and separate walk-in shower enclosure. On the second floor there is a double bedroom with floor to ceiling beams.
Thistledo is well-situated within the village and is just a short stroll away from the village pub, The Rose & Crown, nearby are many opportunities for pretty countryside walks. From this delightful cottage it is just a short five-minute drive to nearby Sherborne with its castles and abbey. Venturing a little further there are opportunities for visiting the ancient hilltop town of Shaftesbury, the Fleet Air Arm Museum at Yeovilton, the county town of Dorchester, and several National Trust properties including Elizabethan Montacute House. The ever-popular Jurassic Coast is just a 35 minute drive to the south, or if you venture north, there are all the delights of Somerset with the Levels and numerous quaint ham stone villages to explore.

Ground Floor: Sitting room With comfortable seating for five guests, a wood burning stove, Smart television and well stocked bookshelves with books and games. Kitchen and dining area (with a wall of sliding glass doors which can be folded back entirely to fully connect to the garden) With an electric oven and hob, under-counter fridge, microwave, dishwasher, dining table and six chairs, a sofa and a dresser. (An additional fridge, freezer and washing machine is located in the outdoor bothy). First Floor: Bedroom one With a king-size bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers, bedside tables and a television. Bedroom three With a 3' single bed, chest of drawers, bedside table, and rear garden views. Family bathroom With a free-standing bath with shower attachment, a walk in shower enclosure, wash basin and WC. Second Floor: Bedroom two (please note that circulation space is limited due to beams running floor to ceiling next to the bed) With a double bed and chest of drawers. Outside: There is a small stone bothy in the garden which houses a second fridge and freezer, garden furniture and a washing machine. An enclosed garden with two patio areas, garden chairs seating six guests and small table. Parking for one car immediately outside of the cottage on the road. Additional parking can be found one minute away on the street by the church.
