Hope Cottage is just a few steps away from the village pub, a bar, a playing field and a shop for any of you self-catering needs. Take a short drive to Tintagel and explore its history and ties to King Arthur, including a gorgeous shoreside castle and a statue, as well as Merlin's Cave and the Toy Museum. Also worthy of a visit is the picturesque fishing village of Port Issac, which has some wonderful scenic spots, National Trust cottages and the Portwenn View Observation Deck, which offers breathtaking sea views․ For any tv and movie fans, Port Issac is also the home of the TV series Doc Martin and the film Fisherman's Friends. Also in the area you can surf the waves at Polzeath Beach, benefitting from the famous Atlantic swell, and discover the famous South West Coast Path or visit the interesting Davidstow Airfield and Cornwall at War Heritage Museum.
