The views really are sublime from Awelfryn which is located near the quaint hamlet of Llandybie and only 10 minutes from the historic town of Llandeilo with the River Towy meandering through the centre. Llandeilo offers great dining with many restaurants specialising in home cooked meals using locally sourced produce, and with local ales to sample too. Train stations can be found at both Llandeilo, 5 miles, which is part of the Heart of Wales line, and Llandybie, 3 miles. For keen walkers there is a host of footpaths locally along with Carmel National Nature Reserve with remarkable geology, and the only known Turlough in Wales, or disappearing lake, only a few minutes away. Centrally positioned to discover all that Pembrokeshire, Carmarthenshire and the beaches of the Gower have to offer and only minutes away from the National Botanical Garden of Wales which boasts the largest single span glass house in Europe where you can explore the vast gardens, butterfly house or the exotic plants within the glass house.
