Here you are right on the banks of the River Dye, where you can be at one with nature and wander through your luscious surroundings to your heart’s content. North Lodge is a beautifully proportioned Georgian house, built in the late 1890s. This semi-detached house was originally home to the caretakers who tended Glen Dye Lodge. In 2018 it underwent a complete refurbishment to provide guests with a wonderful, comfortable holiday home. North Lodge accommodates up to six guests and is situated on the banks of the River Dye. Why not venture along the private footpath that winds its way alongside the river and the private cabin, where you will find the River Cabin and your own outdoor haven? It has everything you need for a day or evening of outdoor mucking around, wild swimming and cooking, including a wood burner and a Big Green Egg (possibly the best barbecue in the world!). It also has its own Swedish wood-fired hot tub, where you can relax and unwind in floodlit woodland. This location is fabled; watched over by the impressive granite tor of Clochnaben and at the northern end of the Cairn o Mount mountain pass. This is where the Howe of the Mearns finally gives in to the Highland boundary fault; wild, beautiful and very quiet. There are three holiday cottages on-site, No.4 The Steading (UK7080), No.5 The Steading (UK7074) and North Lodge (UK7081). Each have their own outdoor, wood-fired hot tubs and North Lodge has its own private cabin. Beach 23 miles. Shop, pub 8 miles and restaurant 6 miles.
