This is a popular destination for those who enjoy cycling, golf, horse riding and walking with the challenging St Cuthbert’s Way close by. Bamburgh is renowned for its majestic fortress and beautiful expanse of golden, sandy beach and is only 11 miles east. The elegant Georgian town of Berwick-upon-Tweed, which straddles the salmon rich River Tweed, and the cobbled, market town of Alnwick, protected by its dramatic castle, both offer a wide array of amenities around half an hour’s drive away.
