Situated on the banks of the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal, above the bustling Towpath Inn pub, Ty Towpath has been renovated to a high standard in 2020; an ideal getaway for those looking to explore the surrounding areas, with views over The Sugarloaf from the kitchen and bedroom windows. Situated in the village of Gilwern, on the edge of The Brecon Beacons National Park, there is an abundance of walks and activities to be had. The Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons are within easy reach for the ardent hill walkers, cyclists or sightseers. Lots of areas of interest are easily accessible from this property. Abergavenny is 4 miles from here with some great coffee shops, boutiques, restaurants, a castle and a museum; Abergavenny also hosts the award-winning food festival every year in September. Crickhowell is 4 miles from Ty Towpath and boasts a wonderful high street, with some fabulous independent shops and restaurants. The Towpath Inn is currently open 4 days a week from Thursday to Sunday and hosts weekly street food events, as well as serving delicious meals from their own kitchen.
