Settle into the comfortable sofa and chairs and watch a film, listen to music or simply enjoy conversation with your friends and family. The traditional kitchen with oak beams and flagged floor add rustic charm as does the farmhouse kitchen table. Upstairs are two bedrooms both comfortably furnished, one with the added benefit of en-suite facilities and a beautiful stained glass window. Externally there is a terraced garden reached by a short set of steps. AD Barn enjoys wonderful views and this is the perfect spot to sit and ponder the day. Take in the early morning views or dine al fresco, the choice is yours. Fremington and Reeth prove an ever popular place for the outdoor enthusiast being well placed for the Coast to Coast, Pennine Way, Corpse Way and the Inn Way trail walks, along with beautiful circular walks to be taken direct from the doorstep for those wanting a more gentle pace. Forming part of the Tour de France and the annual Tour de Yorkshire route, cycling is increasingly popular in the Yorkshire Dales and storage for bikes is provided. Alternatively there is bicycle hire and information available nearby. For the foodies, there is plenty of choice within walking distance. A short stroll takes you to nearby Grinton where you will find a local inn overlooking the River Swale, situated in a 15th-century former coaching house. In the opposite direction, again just a short walk, is the village of Reeth, set around a pretty village green and offering a variety of tea shops, pubs, restaurants and small gift shops. Just a short drive away is the historic market town of Richmond. Famous for its Norman castle, Victorian theatre and beautiful riverside walks. There is plenty to entertain the whole family here as you stroll around the cobbled streets with an eclectic range of shops and galleries, tea rooms and a wide array of eateries. The restored railway station is worth a visit and houses a deli, artisan bakery and café, microbrewery and gift shop. A multi-screen cinema and swimming pool are also located here. If you enjoy a little adventure a visit to Marrick Priory is a must. Activities need to be booked in advance and include rock climbing, canoeing, kayaking, caving, orienteering, hill walking, mountaineering, archery, zip wires, low and high ropes courses guaranteed to keep everyone entertained.
