Just a short drive away is the park and ride which will bring you into the centre of York, where you will find world class attractions. A visit to these wonderful properties would not be complete without visiting the stunning York Minster; the largest gothic cathedral this side of the Alps. York Dungeons, Jorvik Viking Museum and the Castle Museum should also feature on your holiday itinerary. A little further afield are the unspoilt Yorkshire Wolds and The Howardian Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, where you will find the iconic Castle Howard, home of ITV’s Brideshead Revisited. Or head to the North York Moors National Park to experience some great walks and cycling routes or perhaps some traditional fish and chips at the seaside town of Whitby.
