Quietly nestled away and dating back to the 18th century, the former farm buildings which have been converted and renovated, incorporating the character and charm or the old and contemporary. Keltneyburn Cottage is a private gable end of the main house and offers a fabulous location for a couple wishing to explore the immediate location and beyond. The spacious and cosy open plan living area benefits from a large picture window so you can enjoy the views across the countryside to the hill. The kitchen is well equipped for preparing a dinner, fitted with modern appliances and dining table. Leading off the hallway and three steps up to the very attractively presented bedroom and bathroom. The utility room is ideal for keeping your outdoor clothes and equipment. Step outside into your private garden and great place to relax, where you have spectacular views of the surrounding countryside, wildlife and birds are often seen nearby. The seated patio area is equipped with a barbecue, making the ideal place to eat alfresco. This is an ideal spot for outdoor activities, as from the cottage you can explore on foot, or bike, tracks that past the waterfalls and the historic Balachroich wildflower meadow. Nearby there are riverside and woodland walks, cycling on quiet roads, several local golf courses and fishing in the local area. More strenuous activity includes white water rafting, bungee jumping, mountain biking and mountains to climb with seven Munros within 20 miles, including Ben Lawers (Perthshire’s highest mountain) and Schiehallion. Loch Tay offers sailing, a cruise on the loch and the attractive village of Kenmore has a lochside beach for paddling or a spot of wild swimming and several places to eat and drink, including the oldest Inn in Scotland take a Highland Safari, up into the mountains, where you can see to enjoy the scenery and spot the wildlife and there are seasonal wild life safaris all year round, is an ideal day out for all ages. Just a few minutes’ drive is the conservation village of Fortingall with a 5000-year-old Yew tree and old church; the historic town of Aberfeldy has many local attractions, including a park, local galleries, independent shops, coffee shops and restaurants, award-winning book shop, a cinema and a Dewars Whisky Distillery, which offers tours and sampling.
