Arnside is situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty, renowned for stunning scenery, wildlife and fabulous walks both inland and along the coast. It is located on the southern side of the Kent estuary with its own sea front promenade and pier. It is a year-round location offering lots of opportunities for walking, cycling, sailing/paddle boarding and fishing. One of the routes to the famous Arnside Knott is within 2 minutes of the property or should you prefer a coastal walk when the tide is out you can walk along the coast to the village of Silverdale which is roughly 5 miles. There are also organised bay walks across the estuary from Arnside to Grange-Over-Sands. On warm days you will people sitting on the sea front and playing in the sea. Within a minute walk from the property there is a park which includes tennis courts and a children’s play area. Arnside is served with a direct train line between Barrow-in-Furness and Manchester. The station is within a 10-minute walk of the property and can be used to visit Grange-Over-Sands and beyond in one direction and Silverdale and Lancaster in the other. The property is located in the heart of the village. It is less than 500m from the village centre with its Victorian sea front promenade, pier, quaint shops, two pubs, eateries and Londis convenience store. There is also a convenience store less than 1 minute walk from the property selling the usual foods, wines, beers and spirits. Meadow Bank Cottage is a nineteenth century stone built mid-terraced cottage that retains many of its original features but has been modernised to a high standard including a modern kitchen, bathroom and enclosed courtyard garden. On the ground floor there is a cosy dining room with wood burner, separate living room and fully equipped kitchen and on the first floor there are two double bedrooms and a modern family bathroom.
