The area boasts beautiful flora and fauna as well as an abundance of wildlife, including buzzards, kestrels, ospreys and of course red squirrels. A trip to Loweswater wouldn’t be the same without a trip to the local pub, famous for its great food and possibly even greater beer! Famously brewing the award-winning Loweswater Gold, it’s a ’must try’. The surrounding area has many attractions and places to visit. The popular town of Cockermouth is just 3 miles away with a delightful selection of independent shops, restaurants, coffee shops, deli’s and pubs serving a variety of craft ales. It’s also the birthplace of William Wordsworth and home to the famous Jennings Brewery nestled beneath the castle walls.
