There are steep spiral stairs in this property.. Enter Vine Cottage via the sun-room and you will find an array of ground floor rooms which are sure to surprise and delight. The kitchen/dining room has an Aga which is lit during the winter months, usually from October to April. A stunning spiral stair case leads up to one of two first floor landings; don’t worry there is a second ‘normal’ staircase too! With a choice of two sitting rooms, one with an open fire and one with a log burner there are plenty of options for relaxing on an evening. There is also Smart lighting with HomePods and sound system. There is also a games room leading off from the ground floor bedroom, with an x-box and a selection of games or for the more energetic a gym with a treadmill, bike, and cross trainer. This property benefits from a ground floor double bedroom which has doors leading out into the garden. For pet owners, please note the garden is a country garden surrounded by hedgerows and is not fully enclosed. Check out the en suite bathroom with its sunken jacuzzi bath which also has a shower over. Take one of the two staircases to the first floor and you will find the house bathroom complete with exposed beams and a vaulted ceiling, a double bedroom with a small office area tucked away in an alcove and a single bedroom with lovely garden views. Take the second door out of this room and find yourself on the second landing, here the spiral stairs will take you down into the sun room. Off the landing is a shower room with a quirky door and access to the master double bedroom with en suite shower room. This room also has a double sofa bed with additional sleeping for two... Within the village you will find a microbrewery, village pub within a short walking distance and a quaint village pond. There is an array of villages close by offering a selection of convenience stores, butchers, post office and restaurants. The River Derwent is close by and offers lovely riverside walks. The beautiful, historic city of York is under 10 miles away and within easy driving distance. The University of York is 8.7 miles away.
