The immediate area offers fantastic walking routes with forest and countryside trails to explore. The River Annan, renowned for salmon fishing; Hoddom Castle golf course; a friendly pub; and a restaurant are all within walking distance. The bustling market towns of Annan (4 miles), Lockerbie (6 miles) and Dumfries (14 miles) have an excellent range of shopping and leisure facilities. The cottage is close to the stunning Solway Firth (7 miles), boasting 200 miles of spectacular rugged coastline, and mountain bikers can head off to the nearby 7stanes.
